A Bird Symposium is so much more than you think! A day about birds, lectures and being together with bird friends is really a day out. To understand the animals better, but in particular our birds, you should and want to look behind borders. Attending days like this is part of keeping, breeding en enjoying your birds. Keeping birds is so much more than a bird in a cage or in the aviary. Talking together, discussing en sharing experiences makes the hobby alive for young and old. Not attending is not learning and also not developing and not keeping up. Not attending is doing a step backwards and we don’t want that, do we? We, team Bird Symposium, will pay attention to development en progress about birds in general. However, the parrots will always remain central but we want to share with you a broader picture about knowledge, experience and development. Increasing your own knowledge, provides a better breeding and a better way of educating for your birds, but also other domestic animals. These ‘Bird-days’ with much variation in subjects are therefore of great importance for everyone. Topics such as medication, the egg, breeding, diseases, behaviour and nature are to be discussed on the Bird Symposium. In addition, you get the opportunity to visit the PDD-laboratory. This day we also have a fantastic bird of prey show. This show will pay attention to the problems of birds of prey versus raptors. This will not be a standard presentation. This presentation is especially for his day.

How do you socialize the young macaw with other macaws, other animals and people? Do you want your macaw to fly or will you use a harness or even clip his wings? Jan, Daan and Linda will show you what you can achieve with training your macaw. They will also tell a little bit about the use of testing and inspections, good education and purchase-contracts.
